Join us for seated chair meditation on Tuesdays from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. This is part of a 6-week series where all are welcome to join for one session, all six sessions, or anything in between as it works for you.
Find comfort in slowing down and being with your breath in a safe and supportive environment after hours at the cafe. Led by the cafe’s owner and Kripalu Meditation teacher, Nicole, this is an opportunity to explore meditation in ways that are welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental.
All sessions are being offered on a drop-in basis (no need to sign up in advance) with donations on a sliding-scale welcome, but never required. ($10 suggested donation per session). All donations will be used to help support the continuation of these offerings, while helping to also cover donations for those who may not be able to contribute financially at this time.
Nicole greets participants at 3:45 pm, with practice beginning promptly at 4:00 pm. Kindly avoid arriving late in order to support and respect the practice of the group.
Each session includes a combination of guided/sound/mindful movement meditation and will follow the basic format below, however some times will be adjusted as needed:
- Welcome/Introduction: 10-15 minutes
- Guided Meditation/Silent Sitting: 15-20 minutes
- Integration/Closing: 10-15 minutes
The remaining time will be reserved for any questions while closing out our practice to head out together by 5:00 pm. Donations may be made the day of via cash/check/or Venmo (@stowestreetcafe). Any additional questions may be directed to Nicole at: info@stowestreetcafe.com
Looking forward to practicing together!
“Nicole led a small group of us through a guided meditation that included some breath work, gentle stretching, and ended with silence - all in a chair sitting position. Her voice is very calming and there is no pressure to remain still (we are human). It was such a great way to end your day with calm and rest your monkey mind for an hour. If you’re interested in meditation I highly recommend joining this series.” - BP
